Bantwal, Oct 26: “It has been decided to place a temporary ban all the quarries functioning in the temple vicinity in view of historic Karinjeshwara temple,” said Muzrai minister and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary. He visited the temple along with MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipady on Monday and inspected the break wall that had collapsed here a few days ago. Kota held a meeting with officials and spoke to the news reporters on the matter.

Speaking to the reporters, Kota said that he conducted meeting with officials following the complaints from devotees that the temple is facing problems due to stone quarries and crushers. “Three stone quarries nearby are legal. Stone quarries belonging to Padmashekar and Laxman have suspended their work due to technical reasons. The quarry belonging to Mervin will be asked to discontinue work immediately through officials. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report by NITK experts after inspection over problems to the temple and the rocks by the stone quarries,” he said.

To rebuild wall, sand is required Sir, and that is not available. Only your assurances remain, no sand.

It's available in Black, for Rs. 20,000/- but that will send the construction cost sky high.

Please do some help to the society. As quickly as you reacted to this Temple problem.
