Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 26: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 153 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 29,693. Out of these, 2,428 cases are currently active.

Over 2,46,104 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,16,411 have turned out negative.

As many as 262 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 26,598.

A total of 667 deaths have occured so far, including four on Monday.

Over 9,660 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 10,93,755 in fines have been collected by the police.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 21,597, including 61 fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 1,101 cases are currently active.

Over 1,72,843 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,51,246 have turned out negative.

As many as 199 patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 20,301.

A total of 179 deaths have occured so far including one on Monday.
