Bantwal, Oct 26: The case pertaining to the murder of Tulu cine actor and rwody-sheeter Surendra Bantwal, has now acquired a new dimension. It is now being claimed that Surendra was killed to lay hands on one crore rupees cash he had with him.
This allegation was made by Radha, mother of Surendra, and brother Chandrahas in Mangaluru. They said that Surendra had one crore rupees cash in the Bhandaribettu flat and he had about a kilogram of gold ornaments on his body. He was eliminated with an eye on these things, they have said.

The police have not made a mention of this in the first information report. They said that after the murder, the accused have taken away the cash and gold ornaments. "Even after we told the police, they are not willing to accept our complaint. Therefore, we will complain to the superintendent of police about the cash and ornaments," they announced.
They said that Sathish Kulal, who grew at their house, had committed this murder along with some others. They said that not only Kulal, but several other unseen hands have worked behind this murder. Radha said that her son had told her about the cash he had in his flat three days back. "Therefore, my understanding is that he was killed for cash and ornaments," she said.
