New Delhi, Oct 26: After over three-and-a-half months India on Monday reported coronavirus fatalities below 500. It was also observed that the coronavirus fatality rate declined to 1.51%.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the death toll touched 1,19,014 with 480 new fatalities. The number of active cases remained below seven lac for three days in a row, while the national recovery rate rose to 90 per cent.

The health ministry stressed that more than 70 per cent of the deaths occurred due to comorbidities. As of now, active cases comprise only 8.5 per cent of the total positive cases in the country.
"Our figures are being reconciled with the Indian Council of Medical Research," the ministry said on its website, adding that state-wise distribution of figures is subject to further verification and reconciliation.
