Bengaluru, Oct 23: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shivakumar, said that upon introspection, he now has been regretting for having groomed leaders who have inculcated the culture of brawl-based politics. He was speaking after welcoming people who have newly joined his party at the KPCC office on Thursday October 22.
He said he never aspires to be the Guru for others and he is happy being a disciple (Shishya). He said that he is frustrated as fight can be only among the equals as it becomes harder when the other person is no playing on equal terms on level field. "Let those who say that the people of the city will pack us off be blessed," he commented, indirectly referring to BJP candidate from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Muniratna.

Shivakumar said that he does not want to comment about others. "We plan to follow the rule of law, extend protection to people, and try to wrest this constituency. Our party will win at Sira constituency with a huge margin. In Rajarajeshwari Nagar, muscles are being flexed and lives may be lost, the former legislator has claimed, and issued statement that he seeks para military protection. He should have written this letter long back. It would have been better if this letter was written by the chief minister or party president," he stated.
On Thursday, former JD(S) MLA M S Akki, joined the Congress along with followers.
