Mangaluru Oct 20: The second annual convocation of Srinivas University was held on Tuesday, October 20 at held at the city campus in Pandeshwar.
As many as 321 students graduated during the convocation, among which 232 are under graduates, 87 post graduates, 1 PhD and 1 Doctorate. It also includes 38 rank holders and 11 gold medalists.
Deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan speaking at the occassion said, "Srinivas University has laid strong foundation and contributed to the field of education since several years. It is an honor that Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Swamiji of Palimaru mutt, Udupi is conferred the degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa). I congratulate all the graduates."

Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Swamiji said upon receiving doctorate said, "University is a place where everything is available under one roof in terms of education. It is like a temple of education where students irrespective of caste, religion, creed come to graduate. Everyone pray to God for their success, but only praying does not get success at the same there should be effort from your side. Praying and effort should go hand in hand."
Vice chancellor Dr P S Aithal presented university report. Pro Chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao welcomed the gathering.
CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University , Trustee members of the Board of governors, Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Prof A Mitra S Rao, Padmini Kumar, Dr Srinivas Mayya – Registrar (evaluation), Dr Ajay Kumar registrar (development), Adithya Kumar – registrar (academic and development), Dr Anil Kumar (registrar) and others were present.
