Mangaluru: Traffic temporarily diverted due to underground drainage works

Mangaluru, Oct 17: As underground drainage works have been undertaken within the city corporation limits, the city police commissioner, Vikash Kumar, has issued a notification, ordering temporary ban on vehicular movement on certain roads.

From October 16 to 30, traffic diversion has been affected on Sharada high school road, Kodialbail, and from October 31 and November 15 on PVS Kalakunja Road.

Vehicles moving on Sharada school road have to move ahead via PVS Junction, pass Besant Junction and move on PVS Kalakunja Road. When works are on at PVS Kalakunja Road, vehicles should move towards Besant Junction via Sharada school. People residing in the areas have been advised to use the inner road leading from Donkerkery Venkataramana temple.

As bridge construction is being undertaken at Dandakeri road Yeyyady, vehicular traffic has been banned on Yeyyady-Kuntalpady-Shaktinagar road from October 16 to November 29. When the bridge work is under way at Kuntalpady road, vehicles moving towards Shaktinagar via Dandakeri have to reach the spot where the work is on, take right turn and move on the concrete road via Eden Club and Nanthoor.

Vehicles moving towards Shaktinagar from Yeyyady junction via Dandakeri have to move to Shaktinagar via KPT Nanthoor and Bikarnakatte cross. Vehicles coming to Kuntallpady road from Shaktinagar have to move via Sooryanagara and Mary Hill, Gurunagara.

Vehicles going to Yeyyady from Shaktinagar have to come to Bikarnakatte cross and move via Nanthoor, KPT towards Yeyyady.

When underground pipes are being fitted on the service road by the side of national highway 66 at Surathkal between October 16 and 31, vehicular traffic on service road has been banned. Vehicles moving towards Govindadasa college Surathkal junction should move on national highway. Vehicles moving to Surathkal by service road have to move via Sacred Heart Church, Surathkal Market, Surathkal Junction and Chokkabettu Katilpalla.

    yes good jb but after the work is done the road is not repaired
    See the road near Forum mall to mangala devi
    S L. mathias road now its nearly 2 years pathetic situation.
    Bunder road horrible
    thye could have dons these jobs during lock down with minimum laborer's where there was no traffic problem
