Udupi: MLA Raghupati Bhat requests CM to reserve medical seats for children of Covid warriors

Udupi, Oct 16: Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat has written a letter to chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa requesting to reserve seats in medical colleges for the children of Covid warriors.

In his letter to the CM, Bhat stated, "For the last 6 months, many doctors, nurses, ASHA workers, and many other Covid warriors are relentlessly working hard to control the spread of the pandemic. Many are
even involved in the treatment of patients. In these times, the staffs are unable to meet their children in some cases. They are even unable to concentrate on the studies of their children.

"As in a special case, certain amount of seats should be reserved to the children of these Covid warriors in medical colleges," he stated.

    I fear whatever PM says ,in our corruption filled land such seats will be given only to who pays more him will be the medicine seat sure.we have already experienced and suffered.Either to richer,or politicians ,or caste system.Merit winners have to let them make place.Only running from A to B for tests ,mental stress ,tiredness.numerous tests only hoping and last pickup a left over is their choice.Why only worriers,let others too hope for a better future.Best is on Merit .

    It is a good suggestion. Let all the other reservations since Independence be stopped and let there be reservations for the people who contribute to the nation and well being of the people of the nation. Why we have to neglect our forces...like army, air force, Naval forces children...????? Stop caste based reservation which only have helped , who are already in the cozy government jobs and no body else generally .

    Like covid warriors there are covid sufferers also there !!
    Forget all that and go with very good intension to abolish all sort of reservations and let seats allot on merit basis irrespective of caste and creeds....you will remember for life time as society may produce quality doctors to prosper country in the world
