Bengaluru, Oct 15: A married woman, who left her husband's house due to the enticement of her paramour, learnt a befitting lesson as she was pushed into a 100-feet deep dried-up well by her lover and had to spend four days and nights inside it.
Police searched for the missing woman for four days and ultimately located her in the well fighting for her life. It is suspected that her paramour himself must have pushed her into the well.
This incident occurred in the Ranganathapura village of Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru Rural district. The woman who was rescued from the well is Amrita (23).
Amrita got married to Ashok of Sonnahalli two years ago. The couple has a baby boy also. However, Amrita developed a relationship with her paramour without the knowledge of her husband Ashok.
Ashok, the husband of Amrita, had been to work on Saturday as usual. Amrita’s father-in-law and mother-in-law had been to paddy fields for work. Amrita handed over her child to neighbours and said that she is going to a place called Malur. However, she went missing from that day.
Adarsha, paramour of Amrita, who called her has tried to kill her by pushing her to a 100-feet deep well on Saturday itself. Amrita was wailing from deep inside the well for four days. Finally, some passer-by heard the screams and informed the police about the matter.
Police and fire service personnel, who arrived at the well rescued Amrita. She is said to be in a serious condition and is admitted to the government hospital in Devanahalli. Police have taken Adarsha into custody.
Vijayapura police have registered a case in this regard.
