Kasargod: 26-year-old dies after newly bought car rams into stationary tanker

Kasargod, Oct 12: In a tragic accident that occurred early morning on Monday, October 12 at Koyilandy of Malappuram, a youth died and another person sustained injuries.

The deceased person has been identified as Fazil (26), a resident of Bandiyod in the district.

His friend Zulfan Malik (29), a resident of Ullal was seriously injured. He has been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College hospital.

The accident occured when their car collided with a stationary tanker.

Five people, including Fazil, had been to Koyilandi on the night of Saturday to buy a car. The accident took place when they were returning after purchasing the car in the wee hours of Monday.

Fazil and Malik were travelling in one car while the other three friends were in another car. The newly purchased car was being driven by Fazil.

His relatives have reached Koyilandy.

    Very sad ,a young man died in his newly purchased car.Heartfelt sympathys to the family.fast recovery to his friend.may his soul rest in peace.Somehow I am bit confused to hear that these two young chaps went to buy the car at night or evening.I dont mean to say it should not buy at that time.But one who gives out money see that during daylight its all hidden mistakes and capacity.One has to get accustomed to it.Not simply race with new one.because his friends were already reached home.Was there any problems in its machanism?is a question .Many agents want to sell out vehicles without mentioning some problems.Some see only outside show and happy.hope this will clear soon the cause of the car.

    there is a "sleep cycle" starting at 2.00 am... not advisable to do night driving because of attention might snap in the wee hours...

    It is sad to note that youngsters die in such a young age due to their own mistakes. It does not mean that I have not made mistakes during eighties (my young age) and survived because of the fact that may be traffic was less at that time or roads were bad and the speed of vehicles was less or Gods grace.
