New Delhi, Oct 12: As India and UAE are part of the air bubble agreement, passengers who are travelling to India from the UAE are no longer required to make bookings with the Indian embassy in the Emirates, an announcement by Air India Express on their Twitter page stated.
Further, Air India Express also informed that the passengers could now directly book with Air India Express.
This is part of the air bubble arrangement which India has with the UAE, valid until October 31, 2020.
As part of the agreement, India and UAE agreed to extend the special flight services between the two countries until the end of this month, which allows carriers of both countries to operate repatriation flights.
Due to coronavirus pandemic, Indian nationals had to earlier register on the Indian embassy website before booking their flights. Passport information and passenger contact details were mandatory while booking. Now, with the air bubble agreement, passengers can directly book flights on the airline's website.
