Udupi: MLA Raghupati Bhat tests positive for coronavirus, hospitalised

Udupi, Oct 11: Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat has tested positive for coronavirus and has been admitted to hospital.

Taking to Twitter, the MLA said, "I have tested positive for Covid-19. On the advice of doctors, I have gotten admitted to hospital. As I am under treatment, I will not be able to respond to calls from public for a few days. Forgive me.

"Those who came in contact with me in the last four-five days are requested to take care and go into quarantine. Thank you," he added.

Earlier, Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon had also tested positive for the viral infection.

Education minister Suresh Kumar has also been hospitalised after he contracted the virus last Monday.
