Udupi, Oct 10: “There is information that systematic conspiracy by Popular Front of India (PFI) and SDPI is hidden behind rape incident in Hathras,” said Udupi-Chikkamagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje.
Speaking in a news conference held at Hotel Kidiyoor on Saturday, October 10, she said that the guilty in the murder of Hathras incident victim should be punished without consideration of religion. “Such incidents should be banned in the future, and they will be banned,” she said.
“DC Ravi is a sincere officer. He is not with us. Anybody who uses his name will not prosper. There are discussions over what his father-in-law did, why and where his wife went after his death. There is no need to speak about a sincere IAS officer after his death.”
“Preparations for by-elections are in progress. There are differences regarding Congress candidates. It is confirmed that Rajesh Gowda, son of Giriyappa is the candidate. It does not make any difference to BJP. The number of BJP seats will go up by two,” she said.
“Parents with one or two children are afraid to send their children to school. SSLC and PUC is a landmark in children's education. Therefore, special attention is necessary. I request the government to promote all the students this year. Schools can be opened after April if corona comes under control by then. The syllabus of online education should also be reduced to half,” she said.
“The Farm Acts are not against farmers. The menace of middlemen can be removed by the APMC Act. Some farmers are influenced by political speeches. Genuine farmers should read the Acts,” she said.
“Farmers should take part in campaigns. It is their voice. There should be no wrong message. APMC does not lose its identity. Farmers will get a direct market. There are opportunities to rectify lapses,” she said.
