Thiruvananthapuram: Police succeed in arresting man who murdered live-in partner

Daijiworld Media Network - Thiruvananthapuram (SP)

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9: The police have succeeded in arresting a man who had escaped after stabbing his live-in partner to death.

Dr Sona, a dentist of Thrissur origin, was killed by Mahesh. As Dr Sona had suffered critical injuries in her abdomen region, she had failed to respond to treatment, and had breathed her last on Sunday. The accused had remained evasive for two days after the murder. But the Kerala police succeeded in arresting him on Tuesday. A police officer confirmed that Mahesh was arrested on Tuesday and that first information report under different sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against him. "We are making preliminary inquiry now. Thereafter he will be produced in court and he will be subjected to judicial custody," he stated.

Mahesh was in a live-in-relationship lasting two years with Dr Sona. He was involved with building construction. He had also done some construction work in the dental clinic of Dr Sona for which about Rs seven lac was spent. However, Mahesh had collected Rs 22 lac from Dr Sona. There were differences over financial issues between the two. The police said that Dr Sona had filed a complaint, accusing Mahesh of misusing money from her clinic.

Dr Sona (30) was stabbed by Mahesh (37) with a knife on September 28, after which she was admitted into a private hospital at Thrissur in critical condition. She had breathed her last on Sunday and Mahesh had fled after stabbing her.

Sona was operating a dental clinic at Kutta Nellur in Thrissur since the last 18 months. She was in a live-in relationship with Mahesh since the last two years. In the recent past, the two had developed differences over finances. Sona had filed financial irregularity case against Mahesh in Ollur police station. She had said that Mahesh had illegally taken away her money from the clinic.

It is said that on September 28, Sona and Mahesh discussed this issue at her clinic. As the discussions were in progress, Mahesh had escorted Sona into the lab of her clinic where he suddenly stabbed her and decamped from there, leaving Sona bleeding, it is said. Sona's father Jose, was present at the dental clinic then.

Sona had married but had separated from her husband. She also had a child from her marriage. Mahesh is unmarried.

Having SEX without responsibilities or any commitment called LIVE-IN- RELATIONSHIP which is against the INDIAN tradition or you are following dog mathematics of sex !! when you desire to have a ready-made coward sex and just abandon the partner when your lust finished and look for another partner that they wants in life !! I curse the parents who bring us that way !

Police shouldn't waste their time and taxpayers money in these kind of cases ! PERIOD

Idakk eheluvudu "Ahankara"..... "With no offence to any one" although it is highly unpardonable offence of Mahesh ( deserves no sympathy) even Sona is no "Dudh ka Dulha". When she was married and already bore a child, she left them and went to "live in"...... (Ibbara Jagala dalli Kusus badavaithu)"

Once upon a time the same system was in practice. Man was using female like animals do. Now new generation also same story. Don't want commitment. Once the excitement finish both partners search for another partner. Poor Dr. lost her life. Moral of story is do not trust anybody when money matters comes. Try to keep money in your personal account if it is earned by you.
