Udupi, Oct 2: Bright Group Friends R holds a cleanliness drive on the day of Gandhi Jayanti every year. This year also the members of the organization cleaned both the pedestrian walking area of Soodapete.

The team offered prayers at 8 am to Lord Subramanya and also tributes to Gandhiji and Shastri. Then the team started cleaning the pond of the temple, Ashwatha Katte, the area around the temple, two bus stands in front of the temple, both pavements of the main road, the bus stand of the market, Umesh Acharya memorial bus stand in front of the government school and the camp of Subramanya aided school.

All the cleaning work got completed at 2.25 pm. In the programme which took place under the leadership of Pradeep Devadiga, president of Bright group friends, Deepika Ashok, president of Janani Mahila Mandali and members also joined hands.

Honorary advisor of the club Shankar Kundar, Jerry L D'Souza, secretary Aneesh, treasurer Srinath Shetty and all members of the clubs took part in the cleanliness drive.
