Kasargod, Sep 30: An accused who had been arrested relating to a murder attempt case and was kept in the Covid care centre, escaped from the centre on the night of Tuesday September 29.
The person who gave the police a slip has been identified as Adam Khan (24) from Uppala Kaikamba. He fled from the Covid care centre at Padannakkad. He broke the window of the centre and escaped to freedom.
Adam Khan is one of the accused in the murder attempt on Mustafa from Uppala, who is a Muslim League activist. The murder attempt had occurred on December 26, 2019.
Adam Khan and his accomplice, Naushad, had escaped after the murder. A police team led by deputy superintendent of police, Balakrishnan Nair, had succeeded in finding their whereabouts and arresting them.
After the court process, Khan had been kept in the Covid care centre. After it came to light that he had run away, the police have begun an operation to locate and arrest him.
