Bengaluru, Sep 24: “Yediyurappa led government has lost the faith of the people. The chief minister's son, grandson and son-in-law have indulged in corruption. We have decided to table a no-confidence motion against the government,” said Congress leader Siddaramaiah.

Opposition leader Siddaramaiah has stunned B S Yediyurappa by issuing a notice to speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri to table the motion.

Siddaramaiah speaking after the executive session of the legislature stated that there is corruption in the purchase of medical supplies, laptop, equipment for treatment of corona-patients, transformers etc. “Development has taken a beating,” he said.

“The government has brought about amendments to sand reforms, APMC Act, Labour Act etc. The state has reached a disastrous situation in one year and four months. The Yediyurappa government has borrowed loans of Rs 1 lac crore and has lost the confidence of the cabinet ministers.”

He said that chief minister Yediyurappa is directly responsible for the corruption being carried out by his son B Y Vijayendra. “Important discussions were held in the meeting of Congress party demanding the resignation of CM Yediyurappa. Even BJP MLAs do not have confidence in CM Yediyurappa. Vijayendra directly interferes in the affairs of the different government departments. Senior ministers are unhappy about it. A complaint about it has also been sent forward to BJP high command.”

It is said that Siddaramaiah has discussed in the meeting of MLAs that now is a suitable time to table no-confidence motion.
