The Tuluvas are all over the world today. Of course, Kasargod was the part of the so called Tulunadu. It is a nice gesture on the part of Karala Government to recognize the Tulu people and their aspirations and progress.

Malayalam got its script from the Tuluvas (around the 12th century).

It is sad that the Tuluvas have not spent much effort in turning the language into a literary one.
