It would be nice if DC takes up the issues that trouble the peace of many people viz;. pollution. Unwanted noise from the public speakers of religious places several times a day; the speakers or a line to awake those who are interested in their own houses can be done with wireless instruments instead of disturbing all people, elderly and the infants. Also the noise from the factories and other equipments...decimal required to be checked. This may be a difficult task but if all human beings think of the serenity and importance of the wellbeing of all individuals then this can be done without hassles.

All these industries are located in industrial zone only were all parameters of green belt are taken care

But refer to our grate Mangalure smart city so many vehicle service centers , hazards work shops are developed in commercial and residential zone which are creating pollution to general public by means of paintings polishing for both vehicles and structural items using hazardous chemicals that causes cancerous cells in human body , Against this Karnataka pollution control as well as Environment department City corporation is least bother about this even after public complaint . Almost all these units are illegal and running without licences. Garages are allowed in river bangs , and even the aeras were drainage system is not available . Heavy structural works are carried out just adjacent to NH roads. Honorable DC has to take a round in KULUR -Kavoor Road and in NH 66 road from Kulur to Kottara and study the area of Pollution by vehichle show rooms and work shops.

This is what happen in Mangaluru Smart city.

In the first instance, why permission was granted to build such industries in the heart of the city and residential area ?
Is that close proximity to the sea port ? To save the cost of transportation peoples health and life is put in hazardous situation. What is the alternative/solution ?

... in the heart of the city & residential area ! What a joke.
MRPL was outside City corporation limit when started. Of course new houses came in surroundings of MRPL later.
If MRPL won’t import oil from gulf, then you will be jobless in Kuwait.

A refinery like MRPL should be atleast 100 km from residential areas. This is the reason many rich countries dont have refineries of their own. They depend on third world countries for refining. Know your facts before joking around.

MRPL was built right within populated area because enough people have taken Haftha from this deal. Not sure if they are alive or dead now, but the people of this region will suffer unto death.

Go at 4:00 a.m in morning & see the amount of pollutants pumped into air from the chimneys. If u see this you will not want to live in Kudla. If people do not raise voice against locating hazardous industries in eco fragile coast & ghats be ready ti face wrath of global warming, tornadoes, storms, cloud bursts, sea erosion, floods & land slides

It is not only air and noise pollution in the surrounding areas of MRPL,. What about water pollution in the surrounding area of MRPL, people cannot use the water for daily use because of the effluents of MRPL. The news does do mention about water being polluted.

... why only government owned MRPL is singled out. BASF is releasing more toxic pollutants into sea than MRPL. Many industries in Baikampady area are releasing effluents without treating, directly to sea. KSPCB is blind about it. MRPL has air, water monitoring facilities before releasing to environment which the general public can access.
