Bengaluru, Sep 14: The ACMM court on Monday September 14 sent Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi along with five other accused to 14 days' judicial custody in the sensational drugs case. Ragini and the others were shifted to Parappana Agrahara central jail.
The CCB police had been questioning them for the last two weeks. As their police custody was over on Monday, they were produced before the ACMM court via video conference.
The judge sent Ragini, Prashanth Ranka, Simon, Rahul and Niaz to judicial custody. They were subsequently taken to Parappana Agrahara central jail.
The CCB has said that the accused will be in jail for 14 days till September 27. All the accused were subjected to Covid tests before being taken into judicial custody. It is learnt that all of their reports were negative.
Each one of them in the Parappana Agrahara has been assigned a separate prisoner number. All of them will be staying in the jail like ordinary prisoners. Ragini will be staying in a women's barrack. The remaining accused will be in the men's barrack.
Primary accused in the drug case, actress Sanjjanaa Galrani has been remanded in police custody for another two days by the ACMM court. Together with her, Viren Khanna and Ravishanker have also been remanded in police custody for two more days.
