Mangaluru, Sep 13: Founder president of 'Biruver Kudla' Uday Poojary and noted researcher Dr Sabina Tasleema was awarded with the state-level 'Parivarthana Sri Award 2020' in a ceremony held at Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple here on Sunday September 13.
The ceremony was organised by Bhrama Shree Narayana Guru Dharma Paripalana Sangha (BSNDP).
The award ceremony was inaugurated by KEONICS state president Harikrishna Bantwal.
In his address, Harikrishna Bantwal said, "Narayana Guru was a great reformer who fought against casteism. He believed in organizing and empowering backward classes. Founder president of Biruver Kudla Uday Poojary has that capability of strengthening the organisation. May his organisation continue to do good service for this country."
Saidappa Gutthedhar of Brahamashri Narayana Guru Paripalana Mandir, Bengaluru, said, "Biruver Kudla is one of the most reputable organisations in Mangaluru, and is at the forefront when it comes to helping the needy. The award has been given to the most deserving persons."
