Kundapur: Illegal transportation - 30 buffaloes rescued, four arrested

Kundapur, Sep 5: During a regular vehicle inspection at Hosangadi check post, police arrested four for illegal transportation of 30 buffaloes in a lorry in an inhuman manner.

Police inspector Anil Kumar T N was inspecting vehicles near the check post in the morning on Saturday September 5 upon definite information received by Amasebail police station. They saw a lorry approaching from Hulikal Ghats towards Hosangadi at about 9.30 am. Police personnel stopped the lorry and searched it. They found 30 buffaloes in the vehicle covered by tarpaulin. The buffaloes were fed no food, tied and loaded in an inhuman manner in the lorry.

The accused in the vehicle had no permission required for transporting buffaloes. It is found that the animals were being ferried for slaughter.

Police arrested Haryana resident Manjith Singh (38), Rajasthan resident Pavan Kumar (32), Gulwam (29) and Hayana resident Ravikumar (25) in this connection. A case was registered at Amasebail police station.

    Why you guys torture animals like this ? The officials who let the Vehicle pass through till here should be punished severely.

    Neither they can stand nor they can take rest , neither they are fed nor they are given water nor they can cry,  their mouth also is tied Animals behave much better than human beings.

    Please have mercy on animals also.

    This fiasco continues day after days, week after weeks, month after months !!!! The vehicle must be impounded !! The culprits must be tied in the same truck and denied water n food !!! The end recipients must be arrested and given a Similar treatment, there after, they must all be given exemplary Rigorous Imprisonment !!!!

    Please those who eat beef let them go for somewhere and you cant treat the animals like this way !! Why people cant leave without the BEEF ! why they cant ? if some scientist will claim that by eating BEEF some serious health issues can be diagnosis in humans then everybody will not stop it ? quick money makes the HUMAN cruel predator or worst than that.

    Looks like we need to take permission to what to eat what not before cooking in a democratic country . quote "who eat beef let them go somewhere" we are Indian citizen based in Mangalore want to eat beef in Mangalore guide us where to go to eat beef. Agreed illegal is not the solution. provide solution the legal place where beef eater can buy beef. (buffaloes meat). then the illegal activities will stop.

    Buffaloes are Go Matha or Pitha...?????? So far I had never heard anybody adoring Go Pitha...????? If they were adored, then from where India can become no 1 in beef export...???? can anybody from BJP clear this doubt of mine.????????
