Condolences to the grieving family. I was a student of his, having done a boat design internship in his shipyard. He was a wonderful teacher, ever patient and an encyclopedia of knowledge. From the 3 months I spent as his understudy, I left richer in wisdom and experience, both technically and philosophically. He will be deeply missed by the countless young souls he transformed through the course of his very rich and colourful life.
