Bengaluru, Sep 1: Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowment Department in a press release dated September 1 has relaxed the restrictions imposed earlier due to coronavirus scare.
The press release stated that religious rituals as per traditions can be conducted considering the number of devotees and the space available as decided by the temple management while adhering to the existing health guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
Further, the statement released mentioned that festivals and special celebrations are postponed. However, celebrations can be conducted symbolically making sure that there is no mass gathering of people.

The guidelines that have been issued by the centre and the state governments which include social distancing and necessary health precautions that have been announced by the deputy commissioner should be compulsorily followed, the release stressed.
The concerned officials in the temples should make sure that social distancing is followed and sanitizers are used. Meanwhile, in the event, if there are any violations of the orders issued, the same must be conveyed to the religious endowment commissioner.
