Mangaluru, Aug 17: MRPL celebrated it’s Independence Day on August 15 by unveiling the statue of the sculptor of India’s Constitution.
M Venkatesh, managing director, unfurled the flag. The CISF contingent of MRPL performed a ceremonial salute to the national tricolour.
The managing director unveiled the statue and showered petals on the statue of Bharat Ratna B R Ambedkar along with Sanjay Varma, director of the refinery, Rajeev Kushwah, CVO, Elango M, ED – refinery, BHV Prasad and ED – Projects. Pomila Jaspal, director of finance joined the ceremony from New Delhi online. GGMs / HODs, collective heads and DC, CISF also paid his respect to the champion of social justice.
Latha Kumari, joint secretary, MSSEWA thanked MRPL for enabling the erection of the statue of the chief architect of our constitution. B Ramesh Kumar, CGM-HR and the liaison officer highlighted Dr Ambedkar’s initial struggle, his visionary thoughts and decisions. He thanked MRPL management for expediting the process of installation of the statue.
BHV Prasad, ED – projects read out the message of Shashi Shanker, chairman. In his message, the chairman highlighted the political foresightedness and relentless struggle of the sculptor of modern India. The chairman hoped that Dr Ambedkar’s statue would inspire each one for energy security for a better and brighter India.
M Venkatesh, applauded the efforts of COVID warriors, frontline workers and other employees who wholeheartedly assisted fight against corona. He also highlighted the challenges being faced by the company and the opportunities in the emerging market. He emphasized on marketing initiatives, especially the expansion of the retail outlets in the various parts of Karnataka and also one in Kasargod district of Kerala.
Manjunath HV, DGM – admin proposed the vote of thanks. The office-bearers of MSSEWA coordinated the unveiling of the statue event.
