Sharjah, Aug 16: Sharjah airports authorities on Saturday, Aug 15 announced that the UAE resident visa holders were allowed to travel freely and without an ICA approval to return to the country.
For this, passengers will have to visit uaeentry.ica.gov.ae to verify their UAE residence visa validity before booking the tickets, said the airport authorities on their social media account.
Further, all passengers must have the negative PCR test result issued by accredited centres not more than 96 hours before arrival in the UAE.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) last Wednesday announced that the returning residents do not need a pre-approval to return.
However, returning UAE residents flying to Dubai will need a pre-approval as the authorities have revoked the earlier decision to do away with return permits, a report by Khaleej Times stated.
Meanwhile, the confusion still prevails whether Abu Dhabi visa holders need pre-approval to fly to other emirates like Dubai.
