Bahrain: Karnataka Cultural Foundation arranges chartered flight to Mangaluru

Bahrain, Aug 8: Kanara Cultural Foundation of the non resident Indians here has been the hope of people in Bahrain. It identified people in distress due to COVID-19 and helped them. It has distributed food kits and provided medical and monetary aid without distinction of religion.

It arranged a chartered flight for non resident Indians as other flights were cancelled. Vittal Jamaluddin, the president and national committee treasurer Iqbal Manjanady took charge of the arrangement.



The flight that took off from Bahrain at 9.15 am on August 6 landed in Mangaluru at 4.30 pm. 170 people, including the unemployed and pregnant women, reached the hometown safely. All the necessary documents, PPE kits and information were provided to the passengers. Karnataka Muslim Jamat, SYS and KCF leaders arranged quarantine for the passengers in Mangaluru.
