Mumbai, Aug 3: Another BEST staffer succumbed to coronavirus infection on Sunday, taking the toll of deaths among BEST staffers to 27.

The next of kin of 27 BEST staffers who died from coronavirus have been given jobs.

An official said there is a backlog of cases, as they go through all records, reports and documents before confirming COVID deaths, a report by TOI stated.

BEST Workers’ Union claims there have been 107 COVID deaths. The union has an online petition, which was signed by 2,227 citizens till Sunday.
