Panaji, Jul 23: Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that no decision has been taken on reopening of schools even though there is no decision on another lockdown.

He said that the citizens observing lockdown in Mormugao taluk should have a better awareness. "We received a good response from the three-day lockdown which was imposed recently, and people have also realized the benefits of staying indoors. Even the night curfew has received good response. Traffic flow at night time has dropped to 20 per cent," he said.

Sawant said that the citizens are lax in observing restrictions in Mormugao where the lockdown still continues due to new COVID-19 cases.

Sawant said, "In Mormugao taluka the traffic flow was slightly more even during the lockdown. This is because industries have been allowed. But there is a need for more awareness. We continued the lockdown in Mormugao as cases were higher."
