Kadaba: FIR against four for violating Covid rules while catching fish

Kadaba, Jul 22: Four people of the taluk are slapped with a case for violating the Covid rules while catching fish in a rivulet.

The accused are Basheer Narimogaru, Abdul Razak, Basheer Savanoor and Abdul Samad, all residents of Savanoor village of Puttur taluk.

They are accused of catching fish in the public rivulet crowding together without maintaining any social distance.

A case in this connection is registered in Subramanya police station under column 269 and 270 of IPC based on the complaint filed by Enekal resident Udayakumar.

    Naming and shaming of 'lock down' violators during Covid-19 time, is a part of Government strategy to discourage public breaking rules. And It's adopted in many parts of the world!

    You like it or not - you need to stay back at home during lock down.

    This is rubbish. Do we as humans have common sense in India. India is run by uneducated jokers and it's officials are .... (better not to talk about them) no common sense left.
    First of all, they are not strangers to each other and might be very good friends who knows each other very well.
    Are they lying over one another while fishing?? Surely there will be some distance between them (at least the same distance we see in the pictures of DW news "couple weds in the border" or " Karnataka corona cases increased")
    Almost everyone including those people who booked them, those people who jeered a father(and responsible for his suicide) because his son got corona will probably ends up in getting corona. Why can't we use common sense?
    If they are charged with breaking the lock-down at night, it is completely understandable but social distancing, what is it that applies only for these poor guys?
    There were so many marriages, birthdays, parties, festivals held since the so called social distancing rule applied, how many are really changed?
