Bengaluru: SSLC result publication likely during August first week

Bengaluru, Jul 20: As much as 89 percent of answer sheet evaluation of SSLC examination is complete. The education department is now preparing to publish the result as soon as possible.

Even though the answer sheet evaluation work had suffered initially due to delayed start in urban and rural districts where lockdown was in operation, the work is likely to be concluded in a couple of days. Karnataka Secondary Education tion Board is preparing to publish the SSLC result by the first week of next month.

The SSLC examination for the year 2019 - 20 was held between June 25 and July 3, and evaluation work had begun on July 13. The remaining answer sheet evaluation work of 11 percent would be completed by July 23, an official of the department said. The department arranged for 51 additional counting centres and separate vehicles for transporting the evaluators to see that the evaluation work went on smoothly in spite of lockdown and other restrictions in place. The officials also said that they have ensured that online entry of marks does not suffer due to server problems.

Director of the board, S Sumangala, said that out of 71,000 evaluators, 68,000 have participated in the evaluators. Minister for primary and secondary education, Suresh Kumar, said that the answer sheet evaluation work is almost complete and that he is confident of announcing the result by the first week of August.
