Abha, Jul 19: Mohammed Iqbal Sayd Ishaq aged 63 from Sirsi, Karnataka, who worked as a house driver, passed away recently in Abha Saudi Arabia due to coronavirus.
Because of the challenging situations prevailing in both India and Saudi Arabia for body repatriation services amid coronavirus, Indian Embassy in Jeddah requested to intervene and helped out in processing documents and burying the body in Saudi Arabia itself. Iqbal's family also gave the authorization letter to Hanif Manjeshwara for the burial of the body in Saudi Arabia.
Indian Social Forum president, Karnataka Chapter, Hanif Manjeshwara who is also an Indian Consulate CCWA member along with his team Hanif Jokatte secretary of India Fraternity Forum, Jizan Karnataka chapter extended their support to collect the required documents from the family of the deceased. They were also successful in clearing all the necessary formalities with the police department, health department, Embassy of India within a short period of time and arrange a peaceful burial for Mohammed Iqbal.
The deceased is survived by wife, four daughters and a son. He was working in Saudi Arabia for over 13 years.
