Sullia, Jul 19: A case has been regisered against five persons who had visited KVG Medical College of the taluk in Sullia police station for violating quarantine rules.
The case was registered as per the orders of the district administration.
The persons against whom the case is registered are Vanans, Devaraman, Prem Kumar G, Prabin George and Shruthi C.
Though initially it was claimed that they were doctors, police later clarified that they were technicians who had come to repair an MRI scanning machine.
GPS-based information was traced by the office of the DC on July 15 against these persons. They were placed under 14 days of home quarantine as the staff of KVG Medical College had tested positive for coronavirus infection.
However, it is said that the five visited various places in the town violating the quarantine norms.
