Dammam, Jul 14: Around 180 Kannadiga NRIs who were stranded in Saudi Arabia due to COVID-19 crisis will reach their home country by a charted flight arranged by a Jubail based company KMT on Tuesday.
The IndiGo flight which includes 174 adult passengers and 6 infants left King Fahad Airport, Dammam this morning.
Pregnant women, people with serious health diseases like heart problems and unemployed are among the passengers who are to reach their hometown. KMT has provided free tickets for some of the passengers who were in dire need of support. The company also provided PPE kits for all the passengers.
KMT headquartered in Jubail, Saudi Arabia was formed by natives of Addur, Dakshina Kannada - Shoukath, Abdul Razaq, Siddique and Abdul Rahman.
The CEO of KMT, Abdul Razaq offered congratulated Dr Arathi Krishnan, former president of KNRI for her support with KMT to arrange the charted flight.
He also offered gratitude ti DK district administration, director of SACO company, Althaf Ullal and KMT operation manager, Sadiq Ahmed and his team for their cooperation.
