Dubai, Jul 7: In the 12th Emirates Loto draw, two Indians hit the jackpot when they won half a million dirhams each. Nelson Yesudas and Kikkere Ali Abdul Muneer were said to have matched five out of six numbers on Saturday, July 5.

Nelson revealed that he never participates in any kind of raffles or cash draw and the win came as a surprise. "I could not believe it," the 29 year old sales executive said.

"When I first heard about Emirates Loto, I was somewhat sure I could win it. I thank my stars and God's blessings, my roommates, my partner and also my friend Mishra who encouraged me to enter the draws and helped with my selection of numbers. I'm still figuring out what I will do with the cash; I probably need some time to think and reflect," Nelson said.

Kikkire, a UAE visitor also said that he is yet to decide what he would do with the win. He is 35, married, and a father of one.

"I've never won anything in my life so this came as a very big shock. I'd like to thank the Emirates Loto for this amazing opportunity for me and my family. I would love to share some of the prize money with my brother and sisters too," Kikkere said.

The next Emirate Loto is scheduled at 9 PM on Saturday, July 11. Those intending to buy Emirates Loto collectable(s) could do so by selecting six numbers between 1-49. Registering could be done via the Emirates Loto website or mobile app.
