Dubai: CAP to launch global Goan singing contest

Dubai, Jun 23: Chris-Armand Presentation (CAP) is set to launch a comprehensive video songs contest for global Goan called as Global Goencho Avaz. The contest will provide an opportunity to amateur as well as professional singers to present their videos and win prizes. Interested singers and producers can submit their entries to CAP; there is no age limit or fee for participants. Loads of amazing prizes are up for grabs and a chance to enter into CAP’s various incentives and promo programs.

The first prize would be a CAP gold medal, while the others would be cash prizes in Indian rupees. According to one of the founders of CAP, Armando D’Souza and Christalino D'Souza, the contest is purely an initiative for Goa, Konkani language and the art of Tiatr and culture.

Criteria for Participation

Aspiring participants may subscribe to CAP Channel and send unpublished songs to the organizers to be included in the contest. The contest is open for new Konkani Music Videos (KMV) with playtime between 4 minutes to 11 minutes only. All KMVs should be forwarded to armanclem@gmail.com on or before the due date. The KMV should be new and original; old or new cover versions will not be entertained.

All the KMV entries will be posted on CAP YouTube channel September 1. KMV should be strictly non-political and not critiquing a Tiatr, Tiatrist or any individual. More details are already splashed on social media.

Winner and Prizes

Winners shall be adjudged on the highest number of views from the date of release i.e., September 1 to December 10 midnight GMT, apart from bonus votes by CAP members and other sets of rules assigned by CAP.

A number of prizes and incentives will be presented to the winners at a function that will be announced later.

Total prizes worth Rs 1.3 lac to be won. The first prize would be a CAP Gold Medal, while the second and third prize will be Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. While the best music award will carry a cash award of Rs 10,000.

The winners will also win a chance to attend CAP Global Events in the Gulf, Canada, Australia and Goa.

Chris-Armand Presentation channel 

Chris-Armand Presentation YouTube channel has grown to be a prominent Goan YouTube channel after it started a series of interviews of celebrity Goan Konkani stage artistes under the banner 'Amchem Goa Amchem Kolakar'.

CAP has been promoting Konkani programs and artistes over the years and has initiated the novel idea with an intention to bring Goans under one platform.

A number of programs and events are also being chalked out by CAP across the globe especially for Goans in UK, US, Canada, Australia.

Global Goencho Avaz Initiative 

Global Goencho Avaz has a number of global Goans coordinating for CAP that includes Robert Cabral chief adviser, Jonny Diniz chief coordinator, Gasper Crasto media collaboration, Belicia Rodrigues chief of social media, Richika Serrao chief presenter, Navin Gaonkar chief video editor.
