Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji (SHP)

Panaji, Jun 21: The Goa Congress urged the state government to cancel the supplementary exams for Class 9 and 11 and requested to directly promote the students. The party claimed that the students were already under mental agony and exams were making it much worse.

Congress asked the department of education to frame uniform guidelines for online teaching and take into account the plight of students who are unable to afford gadgets for this reason.

“The uncertainty of schools reopening and conducting supplementary exams have caused mental stress to both students and parents alike," said Congress media convenor Trajano D'Mello.

The Goa Congress also said that the ongoing classes are being conducted in a haphazard manner without proper guidelines.

He further stated that the online classes are being conducted as per 'the whims and fancies of every school'.
