Mangaluru: Srinivas University observes International Yoga Day

Mangaluru, Jun 20: Maintaining social distance, International Yoga Day was celebrated by the teaching and non-teaching staff of Srinivas University, City Campus Pandeshwar on June 20 at the college auditorium with great enthusiasm.

Dr P S Aithal– Vice-chancellor, Srinivas University said, "One can control all kinds of diseases by yoga. It also helps control corona by improving the immunity system of an individual. People from every corner of the world accepted and practiced yoga, which made Indians proud."

Radhakrishna Guruji– Founder and director of Prakruthi Yoga Kuteera, Kadri Kaibattal was the resource person. He demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises the sitting and standing asanas were performed alongside an explanation on the importance of them.

Srinivas University, Dr P S Aithal, Dr Ajay Kumar, registrar (development) Srinivas University, Dr S Rajashekar- Dean, College of Physiotherapy, teaching and non-teaching staff of the City Campus of Srinivas University were present at the programme.
