Mumbai: 15 transgender people booked for misbehaving with police

Mumbai, Jun 18: Over 15 transgender people were booked for indecency at a protest held on Tuesday. They accused were charged for misbehaving with the policemen.

Meanwhile, the police stated that no arrests were made of the transgender people who were awaiting their COVID-19 test results.

The police said the group arrived at the Dharavi police station on Tuesday and complained against a transgender person for switching over from one group to another. "We took their application and said we will look into it but they staged a protest outside the police station and refused to leave. When police insisted they go, 15 transgenders undressed in public and misbehaved with policemen," a police official said
