IMD forecasts heavy rainfall for few parts of Goa

Panaji, Jun 16: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forecast for heavy rainfall on June 16 to 18. Accordingly, warning to the fishermen was also issued for south Maharashtra Goa coast up to 75 km from the coast.

In its forecast for farmers, the department stated that light to moderate rainfall with winds of speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph is very likely at most places during the next few days.

Following heavy showers for a week, Monday was had light rainfall in isolated places. Sakhali recorded the highest rainfall with 51.2mm, while Dabolim recorded lowest at 7.4mm.
