Goa to experience heavier rains after June 10: IMD

Panaji, Jun 9: IMD on Monday announced that the monsoon advancement to the northward of Karwar, Karnataka, is likely to take place in the next two days. It will cover Goa and other parts of the Konkan region.

“Within 24 hours, a low-pressure area will form over the east-central Bay of Bengal. With its westward movement, monsoon will strengthen and rainfall on Goa will increase from June 10," IMD scientist Rahul M said.

Parts of Goa experienced very light to moderate rain and thundershowers in most place on Monday. However, IMD maintained that the rainfall will grow heavier after June 10 across Goa.
