Mumbai, Feb 4: Goan Review Art Foundation (GRAF), the cultural body of the popular Konkani-English bi-monthly - The Goan Review, presents The Goan Carnival at St Mary’s Junior College Hall, Kalina, Santa Cruz (East), here on Saturday February 6 commencing from 7.00 pm. The carnival is organized in aid of Our Lady of Egypt Church, Kalina.
The Goan Carnival will also be held at St Sebastian Goan High School grounds, Dabul, Thakurdwar here on Sunday February 7 from 6.30 pm. It will be held in aid of St Francis Xavier Church, Dabul. Renowned Goan theatre personality and leader of AGNI - Gerson D'Cunha will be the chief guest at the Dabul programme on Sunday.
The programme will feature the Goan Culture and Festivals: Then and Now – with a message to Goans to be proud of their language and culture, through Carnival Parade with King Momo and his entourage, Carnival floats, folk dances, Mando-Dulpods, traditional ‘Fell’ (Skit), dancing sessions to the beat of lively music with lots of spot prizes and mouth-watering Goan delicacies.
