Udupi, Jun 6: Among the 767 COVID cases detected in the district so far, 132 are discharged and 635 cases are active. 100 patients are likely to be discharged today, the health department officials informed MP Shobha Karandlaje at a Disha meeting held at panchayat auditorium on Saturday.
As many as 12,258 samples are collected out of which 10,992 reports were negative and 769 results are awaited. Among positive patients, 98 people have no symptoms. A total of 125 patients are at TMA Pai Hospital, 75 in Karkala, 180 in SDM college and 250 beds are arranged in Kollur, informed Dr Prashanth Bhat.
The MP directed MESCOM to restore power quickly during power failures. The officials said that 140 gangmen are appointed and 140 will be appointed soon and three vehicles will be procured. The MP directed to take action against sea erosion. 94.86 crore is deposited into 1,34,000 farmer’s accounts under PM’s Kisan scheme.
