Mumbai: IBCCI webinars connect members from all over India, world

Mumbai, May 25: After the most successful event of the IBCCI (Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce ), the Bunts Star Achievers Award held in March at Hotel Sahara Star which was attended by more than 1000 people and the honourable minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers Sadananda Gowda and Minister of MSME, Nitin Gadkar J I, the IBCCI has now taken the initiative 'Embracing Technology' to ensure all the members are still connected during the lockdown period.

The IBCCI led by the president K C Shetty and vice-president, S B Shetty encouraged the Bunt youth to rally together to put together a webinar ensuring relevant topics for the benefit of the Bunt community be held.

These webinars so organized have been a great success. There were more than 5000 people from across India and the world who benefitted from these webinars. The members felt that these webinars which were offered free of cost, helped all the members gain knowledge and network amongst the community for greater business.

Till now, around nine webinars have been organized by eminent speakers who were called to touch upon important relevant topics which were as follows:
Dr Anil Menon- Challenges post lockdown for MSME
Mohnish Nair- Sales post lockdown
C A Shanker Shetty – Decoding the stimulus package of the Government of India
Advocate Prabhakar Shetty – GST amendments post lockdown
Dr R K Shetty- Investments through insurance
Rohan Hegde (Tunga Hotels and Prasad Shetty, Maharaja Group) – Hospitality sector and the challenges way ahead
Kishan Shetty, founder, Vrudhi Ventures– Business Evolution post lockdown
Rajkiran Rai, chairman Union Bank of India – Banking scenario post lockdown

The president of Ahar Shivanand Shetty also complimented IBCCI, for the phenomenal job of knowledge sharing that it carried out during the period. Ahar also requested IBCCI will play a pivotal role by representing the Government of India, a plea of the hotel and restaurants which was completely ignored in the stimulus package. The Bunts Sangha president, Padmanabh Payyade also congratulated IBCCI for the success of the webinar and assured them of full support for such activities which help their community members. Sadananda Gowda also complimented the Bunt community for its enterprising nature to organize this set of webinars despite the lockdown condition. He offered any help as may be required by IBCCI.

The world Bunt president, Aikalla Harish and the Bengaluru Bunt president also supported the webinars to make them a grand success.

All the webinars recorded versions are available on the website, www.buntschamber.com and Facebook page of Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce & Industries.

Amongst the plans, the IBCCI intends to bring more prominent people from the Government Of India, to address the members and help them solve issues faced by the community. The president, K C Shetty and vice-president S B Shetty requested all the Bunt youth to come forward and join the Indian Bunt Chamber of Commerce by logging on to www.buntschamber.com.

Nitin Gadkari rightly commented in his recent address to the Bunt community that there is something unique in the waters of Mangaluru that it has been producing entrepreneurs who are making a name in every country worldwide. The minister Gadkari encouraged IBCCI to encourage the Bunt youth to take up entrepreneurship and help the economy. He also commended the role played by IBCCI in encouraging business and commerce in the community. The chairman of Union Bank of India – Rajkiran Rai in the recently held webinar – Agreed to come on the advisory board of IBCCI to guide and mentor the community.
