Abu Dhabi, May 23: President of UAE, his highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed gave a hefty rise to the pensionable salary of private sector workers. Now the prive-sector employees will get a maximum pensionable salary ranging from AED 60,000 to AED 2,00,000 and a minimum of AED 3,000 to AED 6,000.

This decision follows the amendment to some provisions of law no 2 of 2000 pertaining to civil retirement pensions and benefits done by issuance of order by the president.

The pension systems in Abu Dhabi are strengthened further because of this amendment. The government of Abu Dhabi will bear the additional cost arising out of this amendment. It will be a relief to those insured from any financial obligation.
