Mangalore, Jan 22: Through a release, general secretary of Dakshina Kannada Bus Owners Association, Aziz Partippady, has informed that the city buses will move about normally on Saturday January 23, on which various organizations have expressed their support for the traffic blockade in six national highways connecting the coast, being organized by Heddari Ulisi Horata Samiti.
He clarified, that this decision was taken to ensure that the labourers do not face any problems to collect their weekly pay, as Saturday happens to be their pay day, and the students would be able to attend their classes.
Udupi City Owners Association president, Krishna Kanchan, said that the city buses of the town will move on the routes which do not pass through the highways.
Heddari Ulisi Horata Samiti convener, B Govindaraj Hegde said that vehicles can use the inner roads to reach their destinations. For example, the people from Kundapur can reach Udupi by using the Hebri-Perdoor route, he suggested.
