Do not conduct housing society meetings, urges Goa govt

Panaji, May 17 (IANS): The district administration in Goa on Sunday urged housing societies not to conduct meetings in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

"All the housing societies are hereby advised not to convene meetings in the private spaces," an advisory issued by the Districts Magistrates of both the districts in the state, North Goa and South Goa says.

"In case of acute requirements such meetings are to be held with necessary precautionary measures of social distancing, face cover, hand hygiene and such other instructions and guidelines issued by the Department of Health from time to time," the advisory further states.

Sixteen persons are currently undergoing treatment for coronavirus in the coastal state, which was corona-free from April 3 till last week, when a surge of cases reported on account of relaxation in inter-state travel norms.
