Puttur, May 16: A government doctor here has filed a complaint against a youth. The youth reportedly shared a message forwarded by the doctor in social media on Facebook with a comment. When posting the message on the Facebook, the youth reportedly had tampered with the message, as a result of which the doctor reportedly threat calls from abroad.
Based on the complaint, the court here has instructed Puttur town police station to register a complaint on the basis of the doctor's statement.
The government doctor in question, Dr Deepak Rai, has filed private complaint in the court. He said that he had forwarded a message on Facebook. He accused Raviprasad Shetty and others of tampering with the message and sharing the fame in Facebook. The court accordingly asked the police to proceed against Raviprasad Shetty and others.
Advocate Mahesh Kaje, who represented the doctor, accused Raviprasad Shetty of twisting the message with a view to create friction between the doctors and the people at large. The advocate also pitched for considering the case seriously as government on duty was harassed by the accused.
In the past, Dr Suresh Putturaya from Puttur had filed private complaint against Raviprasad Shetty in the town station here. In that case, the district court at Mangaluru has granted interim bail to Raviprasad Shetty.
