Mangaluru, May 15: As part of their social commitment in fighting COVID-19, Federal Bank on Friday launched mobile ATM service in the city.
The service was inaugurated by Ajith Kumar Hegde (commissioner, Mangalore City Corporation) in the presence of Sreekanth K (deputy vice-president and regional head, Mangaluru), Sanjo J Joseph (assistant vice-president and branch head, Mangaluru branch) and Joyson Sidney D’Souza (associate vice-president and branch head, Kankanady branch) along with their staff members. This will help in delivering banking services straight at the doorsteps of the people in and around the city at these unprecedented times.
The mobile ATM of the Federal Bank will be moving in and around Mangaluru city from Friday. Apartment owners/associations, societies, companies, residential areas and others can use this facility by contacting the mobile numbers 8197731614, 9900554155.
The general public having accounts with any bank can withdraw cash from the Federal Bank mobile ATM.
Brief history:
Federal Bank is a major Indian commercial bank in the private sector headquartered at Aluva, Kerala which was started in 1945 and grew consistently over the years to reach a network of 1276 branches and 1559 ATMs spread across different states in India. Federal Bank has, over the years, established a significant presence across the country and has a sizable NRI customer base. Federal Bank started its service in Mangaluru in 1975 and as on date, the bank has 11 branches in Dakshina Kannada district and 4 in Udupi district.
