Panaji, May 14 (IANS): A seafarer, who drove into Goa after spending 14 days in quarantine at Mumbai, has tested provisionally positive for Covid-19 in a TrueNat rapid test, according to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, here on Thursday.

"A Goan seafarer, quarantined for 14 days, arrived in Goa this morning, after being tested negative in Mumbai. Upon arrival, he was tested via TrueNat testing and his initial sample has come positive," Rane told reporters.

Rane said another test would be done to confirm if the seafarer was Covid-19 positive. "His sample has been sent for a confirmatory test to the virology lab at the Goa Medical College," he said.
